We have set ourselves the goal of permanently optimising our business processes, including our production processes and of rendering these processes ever more efficient, effective and reliable in their organisation, technology and personnel management, in order to enhance the satisfaction of all interested parties, in particular the satisfaction of our customers.
Quality and cost consciousness are complementary elements in the economic development of our company.
Transparent and perfectly tailored organisation systems to meet the users needs and the demands and conditions of the market, of technology and of the applicable standards are an absolutely mandatory instruments to this goal.
The integration and the commitment of all employees are indispensable provisions for the success of this organisation system.
Therefore, Quality Management Systems complying with the ISO 9000 series have been installed within KME, which are certified and monitored by recognised certification bodies.
At some of our locations, the additional requirements laid down in QS 9000 and VDA 6.1, respectively ISO TS 16 949, have been fully integrated in the Quality Management System, in order to fulfil the expectations of our customers in the automotive industry.
The Quality Management System of KME follows a strict business process approach and is logically structured in line with the quality relevant activities carried out in our company.
One of the most important principles in our system is to manufacture product quality instead of testing and selecting. We give clear priority to preventing and avoiding failure and defects.
The necessary information for efficient quality management is taken from company database systems, systematically analysed and evaluated. The effectiveness of the system is verified by internal audits.
Customer satisfaction is the gauge of success for the quality of our performance, whilst failure costs are a measure of avoidable waste.
The Quality Management Systems within KME have been harmonised and are co-ordinated group wide. Binding guideline is corporate Quality Policy laid down in the Corporate Quality Management Manual.
